Today I will speak about that winner of the noble prize, Orhan Pamuk. Ferit Orhan Pamuk is a Turkish novelist, screenwriter, academic and recipient of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Literature.
Born in Istanbul, Pamuk is Robert Yik-Fong Tam Professor in the Humanities at His novels include The White Castle, The Black Book, The New Life, My Name Is Red and Snow.
Columbia University, where he teaches comparative literature and writing.
I'm writing about him because I have written one of his book's, THE WHITE CASTLE.
The issue of this book is the voyage of a man who is taken prisoner by the ottoman empire, and it occurred in the 17th century on Istanbul.
